Last Friday, October 1st, I celebrated the first year at my current employer, Metria AB. I started out as a Development Manager for the Luleå based developers. They were 19 at the time. It didn’t take long for a sort of upgrade; on November 1st last year I additionally became responsible for eight local project managers. This was my group to manage, lead and coach until September this year when yet another change or upgrade came my way.

Since September 1st I’m responsible for all developers at Metria, at the time of writing that means 36 employees and seven consultants. The project managers are now managed in another group.

As a new department we’ve started on a journey to what we collectively call “the next level”. This new and next level is a place where we’ve found out what we see in Metria’s guiding words of “innovation”, “collaboration” and “sustainability”.

The work to be done is refreshingly hard and rewarding. And since my top interest is that of leadership I try my best to lead and develop my employees, aswell as my self.
